Waiting for 27" Quad to SHIP thread

No kidding, every time I talked to Apple, even after it went to prepared to ship, the couldn't give me any hard answers. Mine has already shipped and I'm sure if I called Apple to ask my order status right now they still would tell me "November."


BTW... we just hit page 99, come on 100!

Maybe it's a freebie! Chances of this-nil!
Wonder if you could shed some light for us in UK? On the US Apple store my i7 has said prepared for shipment with no change on the UK store other than the 'Cancel' button being greyed out. That was yesterday afternoon & since then nothing has changed.
Is the next step from Apple that they alter the status on the UK store & then provide shipping details? Or do they give the shipping details on the US store first?
Called an Apple agent at lunchtime about this-he knew nothing.

I ordered my i5 last Friday with a w656 order # so I most likely won't hear anything until this Friday or early next week about mine shipping.

I'm sure you will see a shipment notification soon. It was almost 24 hours on the nose from the moment mine changed to prepared to ship to shipped.

I ordered on the 20th, which was 3 weeks ago. I wouldn't expect anything too quick. Although the end of November is a lot closer now from when I ordered, it is still 2 1/2 weeks away.

Logistics. If they do not get them on the plane before it leaves Shanghai then you loose a day. That could bring you into the weekend and before you know it Monday is here. Happened to me.

Argh ... I ordered my i5 on 25/10 and upgraded it to an i7 on 09/11 ... I guess I'm now the last one in the rank because of my new order-number :)

Still "Not yet shipped", no charge and I can cancel items ... I'm from Germany
 
W654... i5, 8GB, iWork preinstalled, ordered on 23 Oct, still has "Not Yet Shipped (ships: November)" to Atlanta GA. Many with later order dates have received shipping confirmation--could the discrepancy be explained by my software installation? I know it's silly and useless but I'm becoming a tad impatient. Surely, the wait won't be much longer,
 
My status was just updated to New Jersey.... Originally it started Nov 13 before 4:30 PM. Now its stating Nov 12 before 6:00 pm. Christmas come early:)

Yeah, but I feel bad complaining about a "free" 2-day shipping upgrade that they offered me... if I had paid for it that would be another story. It's just disappointing... I think I'm getting potentially getting screwed by the weekend (causing me to get bumped to a Monday delivery).

Be happy that your iMac has been sent.
For many of us the status didn't change from "Not yet shipped". :(

By The End Of This Week (if your lucky): W654's
Nov. 16-20th: W655's
Nov. 23-27th: W656's
Nov. 30 (Me): W657's
 
Ordered mine on the 23rd. I had originally ordered the C2D 3.33GHz. People on here told me I should call to change it to the i5 since it would actually be cheaper and more powerful. So I called and ended up paying more to go up to the i7. It's still the same order number though.

I have still not been updated, possibly because of my last minute change:confused:

One more time:

UK. Ordered i7 21st Oct.

Nothing til yesterday on US store said Prepared for shipment. No change on UK.

This morning email from Apple stating shipment with delivery date 17th. No tracking number.

Delivery date changed to 13th. UPS tracking number given. Currently sitting in China.

Will be truly surprised if it gets here by Friday.

No charge as yet on my CC (holding charge disappeared 2 days after I purchased it).
