Hello,
I hope that someone could help me with this problem.

I went to shut down my G3 iBook 900mhz and in the middle of the shut down a message popped up telling me that safari unexpedly quit. I payed no attension to it at the time. Then it froze my mac and I had to force shut down. The next day I started it up and everything was allright until it came to the loading screen. Then the bar stopped half way and it said" Waiting for directorys" or " Waiting for applications" and it won't log on. Can someone please help me with this problem. Any suggestions would be most appreciated.

Thanks

Hmmmm.... something similar happened to me when my hard drive crashed.

From the description, it sounds like it may not be a hardware problem though. Corrupt directory files? It sounds like your computer is still under warranty; I would call apple if I were you.
