Except the screen is mounted on a hinge. A lot of the features they've shown today require a stable platform under the Touch Bar (in this case, the computer itself). I don't want my screen wobbling around while I'm pressing on it, which is the main reason why touchscreen laptops just don't work.

I agree, I hate touch screens on laptops. But I don't like this touch bar either.
