Well now, while the idea of the touch bar seems nice, and is growing on me, i have to say I am disappointed, no SD card, no magsafe, no tactile function keys (I have to look down to make sure I'm hitting he right f key) and they raised the price.

I guess that's one way to reverse the shrinking profits - raise the price.

I have to say, I'll be taking a pass on the MBP

For me it's the specs at that price.

• No 4k screen.
• Is 16GB ram the max??? (Edit: 16GB ram is the max. what.)

I have an 8 year old MacBook Pro. But it's on it's last legs. I was looking forward to buying this tmstraight away but the entry level 15 is £2349

That is crazy expensive for just an inline upgrade.

I really don't want to go over to the Windows side again, but I'm struggling to make a justification for paying so much.

Add $300-400 for Apple Care.
Remember, these are the base models!

yep, f**** that, the model i'd pick (16gb+256) is now over 2500. Before touch bar it used to be right around 2K
