Yeah, I never use Siri on my mobile devices, so no way I'll use it on my laptop. I hate talking to my computer.

I think another reason they are rushing through it is to save time for the Apple Music revamp. That's not a part of an OS, and they need time for it. I don't think it's for hardware, unfortunately.
