iPhone 11 Waiting for the reviews before buying iphone 11?

I usually wait until 2 months in for a new iPhone. I never really understand the need to preorder or need to line up for new phone. My phone is still working and I would easily grab a new phone when the initial hype die down.
I went ahead and preordered the 11 Pro Max for release day pickup. I am keeping an eye out for when the review embargo ends next week, and if the reviews warrant it, I’ll probably pick it up. If not, I can just cancel the order and the stock goes to whichever lucky person next in line.
I'm more interested in seeing their full detailed specs. It'll also be good to see how reliable the cellular connection is. Since some models have been quite bad.
@cibonak Do you have any charging stands? If not you should consider getting some for the car, desk, end tables, &c. Wherever you spend a lot of time sitting. When sitting down they are quite handy to use for reading, browsing, watching videos, texting, phone calls, &c. They also keep your battery topped off. Getting rid of charge anxiety.
My phone is usually set on some sort of stand on a charger at a desk, end table or car. Also my usage is quite light when off the charger. On a heavy day I might get down to 40% on my old battery with about 70% of its original capacity.

Definitely wait until iOS 13 gets a few updates under its belt before buying a new phone. Beta .0 software blows. Always has since iOS was invented.
I want to get a hands on look and feel for the new iPhones before settling on which model to buy. I especially want to see reviews about battery life for both the 11 and 11 Pro. Anything has to be better than the battery life on my 7 Plus.
All iPhone S reviews are basically the same template. I can save you the trouble now:
- if you bought an iPhone last year, not worth an upgrade. If two years ago or more, good upgrade
- not much change beyond third camera
- takes great photos
- great battery life
- disappointed it doesn't have USB-C
- 8/10

And then I’ll buy it at amazon for a few less bucks. Last year the XR was 849€ and Amazon 769€, a month later. In fact the red one was 759€ for some reason and the Yellow 849 like Apple.
