Hmm. I'm pretty sure there are more difficult things in life that are "hell" than waiting on a piece of technology.
Oh, I know what you mean. Waiting on buying myself a new one too, or considering getting a new MBP.

I was only able to find a support group for OCD iPhone users (no joke). I'm saving that link for "he who shall not be named," when he's back with us. I think it will really help.

Wowww Ur lucky ur getting urs in August,I've been waiting since March to get an iphone than heard the rumors that there is another iphone in June, so I waited,than I lost my job in May so NO IPHONE TILL I GET A JOB and now I'm still jobless looking for another job so I can get this damn phone that I'm soo crazy about....10 days is nothing,I'm sure my situation is worse than urs...

Me too. Except my story is a lil different. I was there for every iDay and loved my iPhones to death for the past 2 straight years i had one and was uber-excited for the 3GS. I had some money saved in the bank for stuff and i had the $200 i needed for the iPhone already saved up. I was all excited and ready to go but 5 days before launch I had to leave my house for personal reasons and since my iPhone was under a family plan I couldnt keep it. 3 weeks later I am broke (literally i have $1.24 to my name), iPhoneless, jobless and on my own with college coming up in a month
. Its really hard not to put the iPhone at the top of my priority list as soon as i get some money but its going to be a long time without an iPhone for me. Im sure my situation in worse than urs 
I'm hoping to get one in August too - I have already spent many a night going through the app store and have listed all the apps I want. I'm now looking for a really nice case - might even push the boat out and go for a vaja.
I'm rather enjoying the wait, the anticipation. I'm loving reading about how to set things up like my google sync. I definately wouldn't describe it as hell, my bad health fills that particular gap in my life.
