I noticed that the wake from sleep issues that people had with the 2011s appear to be addressed. Even from deep sleep, it took only about 3-4 seconds today. Regular sleep is about 1-2 seconds. It's like the 2010s again.

I've had the same experience. My machine wakes from sleep in about 1 second. It shuts down in about 3 seconds. Even start up takes just a few seconds.

I have a 2011 model and it's always resumed from sleep nearly instantly upon opening the lid. Whatever the problem is with 2011's it only affects some people.

My wife's 2011 model wakes up after 2 seconds. Maybe because it's practically new?

Deep sleep always takes a bit longer. Are you sure your 2011 is dropping into deep sleep? If it is, overnight it should lose only about 2-3%, while in regular sleep it loses close to 10%.

I know what you mean. I had a 13" Pro when I bought the 13" Air last year. One of the first things I noticed was the Air took longer to wake than the Pro did. Whereas the Pro took 2-3 seconds to full work (wifi connected and all), the Air would take 5-7 seconds before it's operable. Yes the screen turns on right away when you open it, but the mouse pointer is frozen for those few seconds.

Wow aren't we spoiled. Discussing whether it is great with 2-3 seconds of wake up from deep sleep vs 5 seconds. The laptop I just stopped using hard a boot time of 10 minutes... I'm fine with 2, 3, or even 5 seconds on my new MBA. :D
