Go to System Preferences, Keyboard and Mouse, Bluetooth, and make sure the box that says "Allow Bluetooth devices to wake this computer." is checked.

I just got my Intel iMac with Bluetooth keyboard and mouse. I noticed you can only wake up the mac with the keyboard, I just use the space bar, but the mouse will not wake up the system.

Also when I reboot the system the mouse and keyboard will not work until I flip the power switches off then on again, maybe I just need to wait longer once the login screen comes up?!?!?
