Every few days, when I try to wake up MacBook Pro 2017 tb from sleep, with external screen attached via usb-c->display port I'm greeted with blank screen.

Touch bar is ON, keyboard is lit, but screen stays black / blank. Only way to solve this is hard reboot.

Anyone experience similar?

Are you fully updated? Early versions of HS were doing to me something similar (ended with solid color, not blank screen). Current release or two seem to work fine for me. Looks like driver issue which was fixed in latest releases.

Yes I'm fully updated. That's a different issue I think.

I have another thread I started where a lot of people are reporting static on the internal monitor after waking from sleep. The issue started after update 10.13.4, and seems to mostly happen on waking from sleep while on battery power. I’m not sure but this may be related to your issue.

My case is different, there is no static. Monitor is pitch black and seems to be stuck. Its on AC, and both internal and external screens don't turn on.

I had static issue, and it was resolved in 10.13.5

I’m glad to hear the one issue resolving itself through updates, but no fun on the other issue coming up. High Sierra has been a very buggy software.

This has started to happen more often. Every morning I reasonably expect Mac to have crashed over night. And in the morning I've a stuck screen, only way to bring it back is hard power down.
