Current order dates are 11/19. Do Apple stores offer walk-in (stand in line) purchases in limited quantities like they have in the past with iPhones?

Possibly. The online availability only kicks in when they reach a certain in store stock amount, I believe.
Can't hurt to swing by and ask.

What are you wanting to buy? If you go to the Apple store on the Internet it will let you know about stock.
Not necessarily. In past years Apple.com has said iPhones were a month out for being in stock. But if you were willing to go to your local Apple Store and wait in line they usually had small daily shipments that they would sell to those that stood in line. It was usually a small number.

I'm looking for either a 44mm SG with SB or a NikeSG with SB.

You never know, they do get shipments every day. Lots of people are looking for the same.

They are talking about ordering for in store pickup. If you try, you will see if the store has inventory. I was able to do this with a GSS44 with stone band on the Saturday after release day (then canceled my online order), and a Gold Milanese Loop 2 weeks ago (My online order was a month out).

You can try istocknow.com to check your local stores or just drop by to see if there is any available

Ok. The in store pick up is Nov 19th hence my question about walk-ins.

I completely forgot about that site. I used it a few years ago to find a friend an iPhone a couple weeks after launch.

You have to either use that site, or keep checking the apple's site for in store pickup in your area. It will say Nov 19th, then all of a sudden, they get inventory and it says available for pickup today.

Both the 44mm GSS watch and the Milanese band that I got were that way, I just checked every day 1 time until I saw it was available. When it was available, I bought them ASAP. Within an hour or two later, my store was back to the long future date of availability.

I just checked the inventory of both models on Apple.com and 90% of the stores in my area have them ready for pickup today. I'm in the Chicagoland area where stock is always low.

Using Apple.com it said everything here in Los Angeles wasn't available until Nov 19th.
BUT
Using istocknow I set up an alert and 5 minutes later I had a link to pick one up from my local Apple Store. Thanks Done deal.

Yes, check around 8 am. I got mine on a walk in. It's hit or miss, they get stock fairly often just not a lot it seems.

istocknow gets its feed from apple’s site, or some variation of it. If you happened to have checked apple.com 5 minutes later, it would have shown. The benefit, as you found out, to istocknow is the alerts, and the ability to expand your search beyond the X number of stores apple will display. Here in the NYC metroplex, we have way more stores than will list without changing your location.

Glad you got what you are looking for. Remember these options for finding your product the next time you are looking. I did the same years ago and it was very helpful.

I kept an eye on the Apple Store app and saw that my local store had availability in the morning that didn’t the evening before. I bought through the app and picked up in store.

My local store showed out of stock, but this weekend we went to the store to leave couple iphones for the repairs and found out they had 40 and 44 GPS models in stock, so I purchased one for my daughter. Today I ordered another one from best buy, it's shipped the same day. I had 2 orders placed on apple.com, but canceled both, because waiting time was insane.

I bought one today as a walk-in and was showing “in store on 11/19”. So I definitely recommend stopping by your local store.
