So much for pre-orders! Starting January I'm going to start putting money aside for my early upgrade fee. My upgrade was 11/25. I fought to get it early, now I am quoted 21 days. So much for an 'early' upgrade.

Yeah I love AT&T and the upgrade policy I have never had to wait a day I didnt even get the 4 til a few weeks after the release date

I went around 1:50pm to my local Apple Store and walked out 20mins later with my AT&T 4S. They seemed to have plenty of stock. They did tell me the Sprint version was selling faster however.

The news here said something about lines for the release of the phone. Didn't catch the whole report. I went out earlier looking for a case for mine, drove past 2 Verizon stores and neither looked busy, went to Best Buy and there were a few people there getting theirs, but no lines, then went to the At&t store and again, no lines, I walked right in and was asked if I could be helped. This was all at around 2-3 o'clock this afternoon.

I waited in line to get one before work, but my dad just walked into a Verizon store around 11:30 and got one. He didn't even know he had an upgrade until this morning.

I'm not gonna lie. I went to the mall at almost 5am and waited 3 hours in line, along with another 100+/- people. I sold my iPhone 4 last night and didn't want to take any chances.

Last year, however, I was able to walk into a very transited Best Buy, the day after launch, at about 1pm, and walked out within 45 minutes with a brand new iPhone 4.

Just cancel it and go to the store and get one.

I was in and out of my Apple Store in 10 minutes. I went around 2pm in Los Angeles. They had like 50 employees and everyone was super professional and organized. I was quite impressed. My phone even activated itself before I walked away (Sprint).

apparently no big deal. my buddy decided he was going to get one today at 5pm. went to the store and picked one right up. got home and decided he wanted white instead of black so hes on his way back to swap it......they had plenty of stock apparently.
