This post is for two reasons. The first is that Google Play is selling The Walking Dead: Compendium One and Two for $5 each. They normally go for $40 each whether it is the digitial or paperback version from Amazon. Each compendium contains 48 issues.

The second reason is, how is the quality of reading a comic book on an iPad? Is it a super high resolution scan? If I zoom in, will I see pixelization?

I can comment that the quality of comics on my iPad Air is excellent. I use the DC comics app and everything is clean looking and very colorful. No problems.

I wonder if they are on sale at amazon or at comixology. Wouldn't mind buying some at that price. I'll have to check later.

Man I wish I'd seen this in time. Crap
All isn't lost man. It has been on sale various times.

May 2014 - Compendium 1 was $7.99
July 2014 - Compendium 1 was $7.99 and Compendium 2 was $2.99
Feb 2015 (my post) - Compendium 1 and 2 was $4.99 each.

I'm sure it will pop up again, especially when Compendium 3 comes out in Oct 2015.
