Wall adapter for Touch

Can I use the wall adapter from a 2 year old Nano to charge my Ipod Touch in a regular outlet? I'm guessing I can since the wall adapter just uses a USB cord, but I wanted to make sure before I plug my touch into it to charge it.

I don't see why not, before I bought the TV kit for the touch I used the charger from my 4th gen iPod (and that was firewire)
