Wall charger for apple airpods pro

Do you not have an iPhone? You can just use the iPhone charger to charge your AirPods?

Anyway, one I use with the small 30w one from Anker. I use it to charge my iPhone, iPad and AirPod Pro
 
I have the same Adapter. I plugged mine into my Macbook pro which wasn't connected to power, then plugged my Airpods Pro into that and it showed they were charging. You may have a bad adapter I would exchange it.
