Wallpaper blurry when it shouldn't?

Not sure if this has been picked up on but whenever I make my lock screen wallpaper a photo I've taken on my iPhone 7 (Still, sized to fit the screen by pinching etc.) – makes the picture on my lockscreen blurry?

This was not present in iOS 10.0.1 on my iPhone 7 but I also don't remember having this on my iPhone 6 running iOS 10.0.1, but now present on 10.0.2 (on my iPhone 7, sold the iPhone 6).

It actually seems it's any sort of photo made as the wallpaper.

Nope, turned off - that's what I mean by still in my original post.
