Hi there!

Dont know if this is a bug or intensional by apple. I have noticed that the wallpaper i choose for lockscreen or homescreen becomes blurry or lower-res compared to the photo viewed in the gallery.
To be more specific: Only happens on very high res images. No problem with pictures taken with iphone camera.
Take a look here:

Anyone have the same issue?

Looks like a power saving feature. Lower the res in case of accidental button presses. A12 bionic has 2 power cores and 4 efficiency cores. My guess is at idle/standby the 2 power cores are not in use, thus the resolution is reduced using the more energy efficient cores.

After selecting the non-parallax view (the first option) did you "unzoom" the picture? Because you can zoom in and zoom out. Maybe that's causing the blurring.

That sounds really weird. Why would a higher res image require/involve the power cores?

This is not a small image. Try to scale it exactly for the Xs' screen and see if it's better. I think it should work.
