I'm not sure why they made is so large.

If big is good, bigger is better. (See: if thin is good, thinner is better).

Sigh.

Now if they had basically built an iPhone 6+ display & force touch screen in place of the trackpad - forget the silly track bar - oh and produced an iOS app so you could use an iDevice alongside your external keyboard...
 
The biggest issue I have had with PC laptops (a bunch of them) is that they just don't handle new tech very well. My XPS13 was completely unable to connect an external monitor decently because Dell was never able to make the TB3 port work properly leaving only crippled Displaylink adapters to do so. Add that the Win10 ecosystem is absolutely awful at mixing monitor resolutions. Both are things that "just work" on my Macs.

The only other issue I have is that I absolutely hate 16x9 laptops. Unfortunately most productivity is vertical. Why do we have to try to work on a screen that is optimal only for movies??? My Surface Pro solves that, but there are not many options for 16x10 or 4x3 screens .
