it's true

Ordered the 38 SS classic black buckle last night, Sunday, said ships in 2-3 weeks. This morning the status changed to 'preparing for shipment' and today I received an email saying it will be here Wednesday. Vermont.

Cool! But don't say Vermont...it makes me homesick. (I went to college in Vermont and lived there a couple of times over the years.)

38 is the only one shipping quick as far as I know.

UPS hasn't been updating its site at all today. I know the watch is being delivered tomorrow, but even UPS Mychoice isn't telling me anything execept that its 'in transit.' So annoying.
There may be nothing to update...it's probably sitting on a pallet waiting to be scanned and loaded onto a plane this evening. (Mine too.)

Something is definitely up with some shipments.

My updates are a full 11 hours behind and my choice isn't working for me
So where it gives the "updated" time on the right side of the UPS tracking screen (Above the words "Shipping Information") you're saying it doesn't update to the current time when you check it?

Just ordered one to see...

If I get this quicker than my modern buckle thats due 12th.... I'm after the milanese loop anyway so I dont care which one it initially comes with :p

Mine is still saying Order Processed and ready to be shipped on UPS. It hasn't been scanned yet which is really odd.

I may be remembering wrong, but I seem to remember last week everybody that got shipment notifications on their watches on Sunday got them delivered Monday. I might have to go back and look to confirm if I am remembering that right.

Mine just had an origin scan in Harrisburg PA. Does anyone know, if it reaches my local facility in the morning can I request picking it up before it goes out?

It says estimated delivery between 12:30pm to 4:30pm tomorrow, but the facility a mile away opens at 8:30am and then I can swing by and get it before work.

I went hunting for that yesterday. I think it was people who got shipping notices on Friday that got them Monday. I'm pretty sure you'll see a scan later this evening as they put it on a plane.

You can request a hold at your local UPS facility.

Are you in the UK?

I'm scared to put the request in in. Would it for sure get there by tomorrow morning if it's in PA? (I'm in New Hampshire, about 6.5 hours away by car). If I can't get it tomorrow morning and cancel the delivery to my house, I won't be able to get it until Friday morning.

I would call UPS and ask...

My UPS tracking now gives a 'window' of 1:30-5:30. Hopefully my wife will be home this time.

The driver came an HOUR earlier the last time. I complained to UPS and they told me this is an 'approximate' delivery time and that I should wait at home from 9am to 6pm. They are insane.

For me, the Approximate Delivery Time appears right below the date.
Okay. That's where mine says by end of day. UPS is always in my neighborhood between 1-4PM on weekdays, so I can't imagine they would suddenly change their schedule. (I'll be home all day anyway.)
Just noticed that there's a UPS plane leaving Louisville for Denver in less than half an hour. Assuming that's where my watch is, I'm hoping for a departure scan!

That's what infuriated me last time. They came at 12:46. They were NEVER in our neighborhood that early. An hour before the 'approximate' time. It's really not acceptable.

After reading this thread I kinda caved and placed an order. I have a 42mm SG on order that will ship sometime in June. Not being patient I decided to give the smaller watch a try and see how I like it. I'm a skinny guy with thin wrists so I was undecided on which size would be better for me. I currently wear a pebble steel which is a 38mm watch and the fit I would say is just right. But at the same time I don't think the 42 would be that much of a difference

So we shall see. Hopefully the 38 comes tomorrow and I can get a good indication of what's best for me.

I have a buddy who used to be a logistics manager at a local manufacturing plant. He always pronounced UPS as "Oops!"...as in UPS we lost your package... UPS we smashed your package. I was much happier when FedEx had the Apple shipment contract.

The only problem I had with FedEx is that they don't update their tracking info enough. The F5 people like me want to know where the package is every step of the way.
