Want Finder to display in columns, but it always changes back to list view

The title pretty much explains it.

Every time I change from list view to column view, it changes it back after I close the window.

Is there any way I can make it stay in column view?

Show View Options

uncheck Always Open in List View

Sure thing.

Now, if you want, you can check Always Open in Column View.

Just stating the obvious, of course. 🙂
