I just switched from an old eMac to one of the Core 2 Duo white iMac's, I have these black speakers with a subwoofer that I bought on the cheap one time about 2 years ago, it must have been like $20 for the set ($50 when not on special), and while it did justice on my eMac, I kinda want something new now ^.^

I know it might be easy to browse online and say "Those look cool" but I prefer to get recommendations from first-hand experience :D

White is preferable, though anything with maximum sound quality is of course, what I'm looking for ^.^

Not that I know much about speakers at all, but from what I can tell, I prefer 2.1.

And my budget is $300 or under ^.^ Though I'd go higher for really pretty ones :D

If you are going for quality not looks the Klipsch ProMedia 2.1s and the Logitech Z-2300 2.1s are great speakers. Neither of these are white.

If you want great sounding speakers in white Roth AudioBlob2 2.1s would be worth a look. Once again these are made for sound quality not looks.

If you really are interested in the look though check out Scandyna Podspeakers you may like the look of them. They can get very expensive quickly though.

All of them including the Harmon Kardon's sound great.

If I had to pick 1 from the list above taking everything in to account, price, audio quality (music, movie, games) I'd pick the Logitechs. In fact I am currently using them now on my new iMac AL.

I personally think the sound sticks are too pricey...but obviously you get what you pay for.

Have a look at the White JBL Creatures II. They're really cool. Good quality also.
