What's the best way to do this? I'm not sure if they are copy protected or not but I would like to convert and change them to a format which can be read by my iPad easily. I'd rather watch them on my iPad than watching it on a laptop!

    Hey there,

    I second using handbrake. There's a really great tutorial here - http://www.macinstruct.com/node/109

In handbrake, when you get to the step, pick the iPad preset. Drag the outputted file into itunes, and sync them to your ipad!

Good luck! Let us know how it turns out.
