Want to have a iPhone X with same width of 6/7/8 Plus

Just returned my X. Face ID camera angle and the width of X body is too narrow. Coming from a 7 Plus, no desktop rotation and app layout like on Plus, eg. no tabbar in Safari, driving me nuts.

I want to have a iPhone X with the height of X and the width like 6/7/8 Plus. That would be the same screen size ("save area") as the current Plus, but in a compact case.

What do we get next year? A 6.5" Plus again in a bulky case.

Apple, please stop kidding us. And use a wide-angle Face ID sensor.

X is lovely design but not a great upgrade from the plus models due to narrow body and screen ratio. Next year......

There's a reason why the next OLED iPhone is rumored to be 6.46" diagonal. That dimension with the current aspect ratio make it identical to the Plus in width.

That’s what the plus models are for.

It would totally defeat the purpose of the X which is to fit the largest screen possible in the smallest body.

That’s one of its main selling points.

No. A iPhone X as wide as the current Plus is the Plus model, but in a bezel-less case. That is what I mean when I wrote "I want to have a iPhone X with the height of X and the width like 6/7/8 Plus.".

Height of a 6.46" should be noticeable more and the size is the same body like the current iPhone Plus.

But I'd like to have the current Plus screen just in smaller body = a wider iPhone X.

A Plus display with a notch would make it too short.

Tall displays are being selected for phones because of the AR/VR potential in the next several years. It provides a wider field of view in landscape orientation.

I stand by my comment that the iPhone X is not aimed at existing happy Plus users whose priority is size.

It’s targeting users that want a full screen phone, but in a smaller form factor than the Plus.

A higher display in landscape orientation does have even more potential. Look at graphic, it's possible that the body can be as short as the current X.

For sure. That's the reason why I asked for an additional "X Plus" for users, who prefer the current Plus size and app versions for bigger Plus screens, which is huge with a good developer.

A iPhone X "Plus" as wide as the Plus but with the same height as the X, would be terrific.
