Hi Guys,

Just a quick question I am planning to take some pictures on a vacation using my DSLR I just wanted to know what do I make sure, ensure, what way do I take pictures that when I transfer the photos to my iPad it occupies the full screen when viewing in Horizontal or Vertical Mode ? Any aspect ratio that I need to choose and click the pictures in the camera ?

The iPad screen is 4:3 so to avoid any black bars in a picture display, the pictures would need to be taken at that ratio (or cropped to it). I shoot with Canon cameras and the Canon standard ratio is 3:2 with options to change, including 4:3.

So I have to select a 4:3 ratio in the camera aswell. But are you sure ? Just by doing this it would occupy full screen on the iPad when viewing on the iPad ?

Yes, I just tested this with my Canon G7X Mk II and iPP 10.5. My usual 3:2 landscape shots have black bars at the top and bottom when displayed; the shot I just made with the camera set to 4:3 aspect ratio completely fills the iPad's screen.
