I need an older version of the program Intel Power Gadget: The actual version is downloadable on https://software.intel.com/en-us/articles/intel-power-gadget-20.

While there is written that this version should run on 10.6 and up, it needs 10.11. On older OS-version it won't run. I would like to have a version that runs on 10.6.8 and up. There is a Download section for older versions, but there are only Windows Versions.

Does someone still have an older version? While this is freeware of some kind, i hope I'm not against regulation violation.

I'm not sure how long one must go back with versioning - I found this https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=17582796
with a few links to older Intel Power Gadget.

This link is the 3.5.2 version https://software.intel.com/file/641033/download

That's what I have installed - I initially thought that I automatically would obtain the latest version but the links works as advertised - the included plist describes as 3.5.2 being Minimum version of 10.6. But you have experienced that it does require 10.11.

Note.. when I meant installed - I meant on macOS Mojave. Version 3.5.2 doesn't work with my old MacBook Pro 1,1 with Snow Leopard because it doesn't have a 2nd. gen Intel Core processor. I couldn't get the installer past that message.

I downloaded the 3.5.5 on a Yosemite system and it would not start and told me to upgrade at least to 10.11. Did not tried the 3.5.2 yet. I will have a look. Thanks for the link.

Necro’ing a dead thread to post a direct link to Intel Power Gadget 3.0.1 for OS X.

This revision dates to about 2014 and, purportedly, launches successfully in Snow Leopard running on Sandy Bridge or later (probably through around the Haswell era).

I’ve not tested it personally yet, but once I do, I’ll append what I learn to this reply. Cheers.

EDIT to add: Comfirmed: this version works on 10.6.8.
