I know alot of people are expecting delivery today so please post here on your screen impressions when it arrives. I have not completely decided but am leaning toward led matt. thanks Scott

I am curious too.... Willing to bet the new 17s are beautiful....
 
it seems like anyone ordering a 17 LED has a long wait time. less for matte, but my 17 LED glossy is expected to ship march 19th and i ordered the 27th of feb.

i've seen the mattes be a bit less, but not much... like the 12th of march for a similar order date.
 
ok...thanks guys...I knew the ship date was a week or so out for ordering now but thought the ones who ordered when they were announced were starting to receive them. Anyway I will probably go ahead and order mine tomorrow....I just wish I could have seen one first because I am a little concerned about the size of fonts graphics etc at this resolution....I'm starting to have to wer reading glasses as it is lol :)
 
I think the display model at Regent Street Apple Store UK I saw was a LED HD LCD 17"... but I can't be sure. It looked very nice though. I even checked out the yellowing problem on it and it seemed fine. I then ordered one :)
 
I thought it might be a good time to bump this thread...please include photos if you have them. thanks Scott
 
Got my 17" hi-res matte (LED) a few minutes ago. It looks great, very bright and great colors. No screen yellowing or other defects so far and I'm very happy.

A general note, the 17" is actually lighter than my old 15" Asus laptop so I'm very happy about that.



This thing ROCKS!

I am very happy to hear that it looks good....information about the new screen has been hard to come by.....I have worn google out lol :)
 
BTW I went with hi res Matt also...plus 200gig 7200rpm drive.....no ship date yet though...just says mar 13 thru 19th or something like that
