I am wanting something portable to take to work - just to use Office, email, everyday tasks. Would the base model be ok for my needs? I'd go the air but I'd really like the nice screen.

Don't forget though that the base model has 256GB SSD, while the next one up has 512. I see you've listed a 512GB at the moment, so you might want to check that you don't need that much on this.

(I went for the 1.2 model mostly because of the extra space. Like other posters have said, the processor speed itself won't matter, for normal usage they're all fine)
