Every time I wake my iMac from sleep or log back on, a window pops up asking me to "login" keychain. Why do I have to always login? This is annoying! Anyway to resolve this?

Yes, look at System Preferences -> Security and see if "Require password [immediately] after sleep or screen saver begins." is checked. If it is, uncheck it and the requirement should go away.

If this is something other than just the standard login window, maybe post a screenshot?

This is something other than the login window. This is after I login.

This is what keeps popping up...

Is the box ticked to lock the keychain after sleep?

Waking it from the screensaver brings you to a black screen and asks you to put the password in?

Nahh, this is a post-log in issue. See the screen shot above.

Try to repair your Keychain.

How?

Thanks for the link

Yes, it is ticked. Untick it?

Ok, yes, it is checked, should I uncheck it?

Open Keychain Access.app then...

Keychain Access>Keychain First Aid>Repair.

I verified and did a repair and when verifying, the following was highlighted in red:
Item “imap.gmail.com” has unspecified value for port attribute

In repairing this notice disappeared.

Yes, you should, assuming your don't want the messages. When your keychain locks, any application that wants to access it needs your password.

If you have it not lock when it goes to sleep, the keychain will remain unlocked at all times. Meaning, you won't get those messages.

Basically, those messages are indicative of a locked keychain. Tuck that away in your mind for the future.

In safari I get the Password box popping up very frequently. Have to hit the cancel button twice. Looked at the Keychain settings and have this setting. Can I delete the safari keychain? Will it stop the pop up box appearing?

Based on the image. Your login keychain is locked suggesting:

1. You don't have it unlock on login
2. You locked it
3. Your login password is out of sync with your keychain password.
