Every time I wake my iMac from sleep or log back on, a window pops up asking me to "login" keychain. Why do I have to always login? This is annoying! Anyway to resolve this?

Open "Preferences" and have a look around.
Yes, look at System Preferences -> Security and see if "Require password [immediately] after sleep or screen saver begins." is checked. If it is, uncheck it and the requirement should go away.
If this is something other than just the standard login window, maybe post a screenshot?
This is something other than the login window. This is after I login.
Waking it from the screensaver brings you to a black screen and asks you to put the password in?
Try to repair your Keychain.
Go to Key Chain Settings
Click Edit
Click Change settings for keychain...
Is the box ticked to lock the keychain after sleep?
Open Keychain Access.app then...
Keychain Access>Keychain First Aid>Repair.
Go to Key Chain Settings
Click Edit
Click Change settings for keychain...

Ok, yes, it is checked, should I uncheck it?
In safari I get the Password box popping up very frequently. Have to hit the cancel button twice. Looked at the Keychain settings and have this setting. Can I delete the safari keychain? Will it stop the pop up box appearing?

Based on the image. Your login keychain is locked suggesting:
1. You don't have it unlock on login
2. You locked it
3. Your login password is out of sync with your keychain password.
