Warcraft III CD Key issue

I got this error in Warcraft when installing the patch via battle.net:

I have no idea why it's doing this to me? My CD key is completely legal.

Usually it just tells me it can't find the game, period, when I try to run Blizzard patches. 😡

It's a pain, but have you tried reinstalling like it says? (preserving game saves first)

Try downloading the patches from Blizzards sites and applying them. If that doesn't work, delete the WC3 folder(s), you can save your saved games and downloaded maps, then reinstall, then apply the patches from your desktop.

My warcraft 3 works perfectly fine, and is up to date.
I am also using a disc image of my legal Frozen Throne CD to play :/
