Today, I downloaded and installed the game on my M1 iMac and it couldn't run, and then I tried on my MBP and gotten the same hung windows, as seen on the screenshot that I post here:

Anyone had experience with this? Any work around?
 
Thanks, I checked it out, but trouble is, I purchased it online and all I did get was an email with an instruction to download the Battle.net app, with no redemption code attached.

Thus, when I launched the app, I got to where the screenshot showed and couldn't proceed further
 
You have to make sure the game is showing up in your account and then launch the game from the Battle.net app. If the game isn't showing up, then that's the problem. Get in touch with Blizzard support.
I don't have W3 installed anymore, so can't test if any recent update broke the game. But I'd assume if that were the case, forums would be full of messages.
 
Log in to your BattleNet account and check your transaction history. If the transaction was successful it will show as complete there. If it doesn't, open a ticket with billing at Blizzard. Holiday weekend and all, things might have been held up.
