The issue is that they removed support for 256 colors in 8800 and 8600.
That would explain why my ATI Macbook Pro still works

What about the GMA X3100?
I hope some of you considering writing a letter to Apple.

Here's one I wrote. You really need to be vocal if you want something to be done about this.
Works fine for me.
Same problem in 10.5.4 which came out today. As I have said before, Apple/Blizzard don't care. I doubt there will ever be a fix.
I was the one in this thread to say that 256 colours support was removed, so I know that. Blizzard also said they would fix OpenGL in Diablo II through Rosetta some years ago, and that hasn't come out yet. I know Apple broke StarCraft by removing that support, but it isn't to hard for Blizzard to run it in 256 colours in a 16/32 bits colours enviroment. I do this in Crossover (Wine), then StarCraft runs on my Mac through millions of colours, the game still is 256. But Wine has some small bugs, so I want the native version back up and running.
I stopped believing that's all. But I still hope...
I've wrote up a guide here

It's based on the one found here

I have not experimented with an intel GMA X3100 just yet.
