My Mailbox account was activated yesterday. Tested the app for speed of notifications and for me it was minutes slower than actual push. Does this improve after a while?

Wasn't there a way to bypass the waiting list for Mailbox? Is it possible that the devices who did this are the ones experiencing the issue?

Because I'm on a jailbroken iPhone 5, waited for the Mailbox app and it's working perfectly.
