This "upgrade"from Pages '09 to '13 is is just the worst thing I've ever seen. Pages used to be a usable light weight word processor. It is no longer worth the space it takes on the disk. You are better off using Text Edit.

This is a serious downgrade in features and usability.

For example no numbered lists. OK if yo type them in that way you can make a numbered list but you can't select text then apply "number list" format to it afterwards. Even the editor window on this forum has that feature.

They have dumbed down Pages to act like the iPad version

Yes I know there is still Microsoft Word, and Google Docs and Neo Office.

And NO I am not simply complaining because it no longer works like it does and I to lazy to relearn. I went into the help screen and read up on it. The feature is really gone. This and many more. They just wholesale gutted Pages.

Why did they have to dumb down a usable product? One less reason to use a Mac now.

Select Text - Format - Text - Bullets & Lists - Numbered

Works fine. I have just upgraded, not looked at it before this, and it took me all of 5 minutes to find it.

I just upgraded mine. Had the old one for 3 years and never used it, so I doubt its functionality/look will matter.
