whatever the reason is you restore as new, it shouldnt matter to the genius bar. its none of their business they have no right to ask why

sorry guys noob here.
So I jailbroke my iPhone 4 a few days ago and decided to return it to stock. So I restored from back up but the backup I restored from was a backup before I jailbroke my phone. I never plugged it into the computer while it was jailbroken so does that mean I should have no issues if I take it in to apple. Is there any signs of it being jailbroken even though I used an unjailbroken backup?

Not true..

My iPad has a screen problem and I did restore from backup and they did still replace it. They run a diagnostic too..

It was jailbroken also before I restore from backup

No one ever said that restoring to a backup with the logged data would *always* result in a failed warranty claim. The point is that it *could* result in a failed warranty claim. Perhaps the particular employee who handled yours either didn't see the data or didn't care, and next time you might not be so lucky.
