BTW 1. How would you lose a printer cable??!!

BTW 2. Complete lack of USB-a of HDMI on new MBP's might stimulate the USB-C market...Finally!!

plus, i know people with firewire 400 to 800 adapters, thunderbolt adapters, small usb hubs. people who leave their time machine drives in a drawer, back up once a month, and one client who couldn't find her usb cable for that.

anyway, adapters aren't new.

why dont you buy couple of female usb 3 to usb c adapter and leave em plugged in in each device like printer etc. it's dirt cheap.

Thats exactly what I've ended up doing. The HDMI adapter is harder to do that with as I found the non-apple ones don't work reliably and the apple one is so expensive.
