IF THE REASON YOU NEED SERVICE ON YOUR PHONE IS BECAUSE IT WON'T CONNECT TO ITUNES OR YOUR COMPUTER, YOU WILL WANT TO REMOVE ALL TRACES OF JAILBREAKING BEFORE TAKING TO THE APPLE STORE FOR INVESTIGATION.
I think I've said that 3 times in this thread so far. My friend's iPod did this about a year ago, it would play his songs fine and even charge via USB, but iTunes did not recognize it, neither did a Mac or Windows PC. So, he had to take it to the Apple Store and get a replacement, but if you tried this with a hacked iPhone, they are likely to turn you away, so you need to uninstall all the hacks before you take it in. Problem occurs with the Apps that leave stuff behind even when they say they're "Uninstalled". Sure you might fool the Mac Genius by restoring your SummerBoard to it's virgin state, but for completeness, it would be good to remove all traces of hacking before handing it over for Apple problem investigation.
