Have a Macbook Pro, not quite a year old. Unit was not dropped - but on opening, there was a "crack" in LCD screen (no physical crack) from right middle diagonal to right bottom. Apple Support claims it is not a known issue and they will not repair under warranty. Has anyone else experienced both the problem and Apple Supports lack of support?

If it was there when you originally opened it and you're sure you didn't cause it, call AppleCare and plead your case.

Not on original opening (sorry)...but recently opened after not using for a few days. Spent over an hour on hold ... talked to 2 supervisors - they say that they it's not covered... if you read the blogs and various internet sites - seems to be a known issue (the warping of the lid and magnet causing LCD issues).

Thanks
