There are 20 TV characters to play in total in solo battles or races with friends. Races will take place in iconic locations, with 16 maps drawn from fan-favorite episodes. The game is set to launch on May 20.

Apple is also introducing Badland Party, which is a follow up to popular games Badland and Badland 2. Badland Party features physics-based 3D gameplay, and levels are designed to be played in online and local multiplayer modes. There are dozens of new characters to play and multiple new worlds to conquer, with the game launching on May 6.

Along with these two new games, Apple Arcade is gaining updated classic games that include Goat Simulator+ and Pro Darts 2022+ under the App Store Greats umbrella. Goat Simulator+ is coming on May 13, and Pro Darts 2022+ will launch on May 27.

Apple Arcade is priced at $4.99 per month, and it includes more than 200 new and original gaming titles. All of the games are free to play with no additional in-app purchases or payments required. Up to six family members can share a single Apple Arcade subscription through Apple's Family Sharing features.

While I always appreciate when a game like this doesn’t have IAP, I have to admit that the idea of a mascot kart racing series with characters from Fox shows now owned by Disney… perplexes me. And the decision to release it via Apple Arcade also perplexes me. Surely, considering the characters they’re using, they could bolt on IAP and net a decent profit just from the sorts of people who’d download such a game and go through the hoops to pay to unlock their favorite character. Maybe they don’t actually anticipate it being all that successful, so getting some safe bet Apple Arcade long tail money sounds better than IAP?

is Apple Arcade good?
I pay for the entry level Apple One bundle. I doubt I’d pay for Apple Arcade on its own, but, since I already paid for Apple Music and 50GB of iCloud storage, an extra $4 a month to maybe watch Apple TV+ shows and maybe play some Apple Arcade games is something I’m totally fine with.

It really depends on whether you like any games available through Apple Arcade. I don’t play it often (since I finished the plot), but it is fun to revisit Sneaky Sasquatch every now and then and see the new content added. I also enjoy MiniMotorways every now and then. I’m not a huge phone gamer, so someone who is more into games on their phone (especially ones without IAP) would probably get a lot more out of it than I do.

is Apple Arcade good?
I have Apple One and my family members make good use of it through Family Share. I play quite a few games and they're pretty good, casual games- although I am addicted to Mini Motorways. Apple Arcade is not X-BOX or PlayStation, so if you're a hard gamer you'll be disappointed. For everyone else, it's worth a try.

No shame here. And that’s just on PC.

but let’s be honest, most of Nintendo’s games are not AAA,
Lol what. Their games are usually not broken and unfinished when released, so I guess you’re half right. Can’t compare to PC games. But saying Nintendo games aren’t triple AAA when you look at the Metacritic scores, and most games in the top 20 are from Nintendo. If that’s not AAA I don’t know what is.

hank: if you don’t move over, Im gonna kick your ass!

That’ll be fun trying for a test drive

I assume Peggy will need to be nerfed for her aggression. Would Dale drive the Dead-Bug? Look at LouAnn’s face on the screen. So many questions!

Certainly if they have lots of character voice overs, trash talk and quips this would be good for some laughs. Fingers crossed.

No kidding, that size 16 shoe gives Peg an unfair advantage. Oh they have to roll out the Bug-A-Bago! Maybe Luann can drive the Manger Baby Mobile haha.

I got dibs though on Nancy in the Meteorologist weather van. Could you imagine unlocking John Redcorn to drive stick in her ride 😆

Forget about it. There will never be a cheaper controller made by apple that will be better than a Nintendo, Xbox or PlayStation controller.
