I've just bought this game for the iPad.

It. Is. Awesome.

The only negative is the combat system... Anyone got used to it/know what they're doing? My ship just goes round and round in a circle while I'm firing off all my artillary, which is fair enough, except sometimes it would be useful to be able to move where I wanted for once...

any tips?

Any other tips hints or links to guides etc on this game would be greatly appreciated...

You can turn off accelerometer controls in the pause/settings menu. I played through the game before that control scheme (using accelerometer) was introduced and found I didn't really care for it when I tried it later.
