iPad Was given a 6th gen iPad

Hi I was given an iPad 6th gen. It’s restored back to factory settings. I never had an iPad before but always had iPhones.

This might be a stupid question. How do I get both devices working together? Like safari bookmarks, messages etc?

Sign into iCloud, mostly. Default setup should sync Safari… for Messages, see this support article.
