After using iPhone X for a month, coming back to use my moms 7, it looks so blurry. Now I know what the android people were on about the resolution.

The difference is just very apparent.

Blurry? There certainly is a difference between LCD and OLED, but the iPhone 7 is far from being blurry.

Not sure if it just the screen tech, iPhone 7 just looks blurry and washed out now. Can stand looking at it. It’s just sad.

It never bothered me as long as so used it. Makes me think Apple should have upped the resolution on the 8.

Are you sure your mum hasn’t enabled the setting to enlarge everything? I have the X, my wife has a 7 and my daughter has the 7 Plus and the other an SE. None of them are what can be described as blurry.

Maybe not blurry, but I know what you mean. Whenever I grab my girlfriend's iPhone 7, I'm like "what the heck?!".

Definitely. I actually was shocked when helping a relative set up their 7 at how blurry it seemed... and this was only compared to a Plus (326 vs. 401 PPI). Compared with the X the difference is stark.

Perhaps you don't mean blurry, as you do with the colors not being as saturated as OLED is. Two different types of technology with both displays.

Had the s7 and s8 now the iPhone 8 and I don’t see much difference tbh. I do see some difference in YouTube videos, but the icons of apps looks sharper on my iPhone .

It’s probably the same feeling as using a random Monitor after getting used to the 5k of the iMac. Everything compared to it is looking awfully.

It all a matter of what you are used too.

Try using an old pic laptop for about an hour with less dpi then come back to a 7. It will look so sharp.

I don't have the X yet and haven't seen it in person. I use the 7. I've seen 7+'s and 8+'s and their screen looks sharper to me but my 7 is fine. I can't imagine what my eyes will think when I see and even sharper dpi with the x. Yes maybe the 7 will seem "blurry" compared to the X.

I spent a lot of time running videos simultaneously on my iPhone 7 and my iPhone X. The contrast and color were better on the X, but there was no practical difference in resolution that I could see.

OTOH, the flicker of the X display is noticeable, and doesn't happen with the LCD displays.

I am the total opposite.. when I look at my wife's 7 plus it looks exactly the same to me as the iPhone X.... I don't see a difference with the OLED screen. I was expecting it to pop a little more like samsung and LG phones but it looks just like the LCD display to me.... maybe somethings wrong with my eyes idk lol.

To clarify, is there a difference in terms of screen quality between the 6s, 7 and 8? Obviously the X just looks way better, it makes you want to stare at it, like the iMac. Hence why I am still am unsure whether to be rational and go with the 8plus or eith my heart and the X.

It’s the resolution and general contrast ratio I think. iPhone 7 just looks so blurry. Not crisp at all. The plus is bit washed out but resolution still stands up.

I think the screen hasn’t changed between 7 and 8. So it might be a similar experience.

iPhone 7/8 and Plus variants are some of the most color accurate displays, although people seem to think over saturated looks better. To me it sounds like a terrible screen protector, because the backup iPhone 6 I have is not blurry at all. My mom put one of those bulky cases on her 6S Plus with the screen protector built in and it looks terrible.

With OLED, the colors are much more saturated and vibrant, which in comparison to LCD, is a big difference aside from resolution.
