I had it done 3 weeks ago and it was totally worth it. My 6s is my backup phone and I figure when I sell it, a new battery can't hurt and will give the new owner one less thing to worry about.

Yes! Just dropped off my mom's iphone 6 for a battery replacement. Its down to 60% from two years ago. I also convince someone else at the apple store to replace his battery instead of doing a upgrade on his 6s.

I have an iPhone 6 as my daily driver.
I certainly need a new battery.

Wondering if it’s worth the $35 (Canada)
to have Apple do it or just do it myself. Seems easy enough.

My son has a 6+ and had it done about a month ago now. He was contemplating getting another phone, but now says it's speedy and he's happy enough that he's decided to wait another year to upgrade. We went to the Apple Store together, we dropped off the phone and came back about an hour later. We went to a local grill and grabbed a bite and by the time we got back it was ready. Best $30 he ever spent he says! Just not worth trying to do yourself in my opinion.

If you have a 6S, check the 6S battery replacement program. You might be able to get the battery replaced free of charge. That's what happened to me. I got my 6S battery replaced a few months ago. I was ready to shell out the discounted price, but the genius told me it is covered by the replacement program so it was free.

Did it on my 7+ last week. They broke my phone while doing it and gave me a refurb for $30.

Old one was scratched up on the screen so I was happy bout this.

I got a replacement too. Indistinguishable from new.

My old was one getting a bit worn because I didn't use a case or screen protector with it.
