I have the 13 mini and wondering if we’ve peaked a little with the hardware and focusing more on the software side of things. The absolute ONLY thing I wish the 13 mini had was the telephoto lens. Outside of that I love it. But for a much better photo experience I’d consider the move. Which I’m sure I’ll consider on the 15 but as someone that’s upgraded every year until the 13mini I’m considering just getting another 13 mini off eBay with a larger storage. My 256 is damn near full.

I’m going to say something that’s probably controversial but I think there might’ve been a downgrade in certain situations when taking pictures from my 13 Pro Max to 14 Pro Max. It just seems to have a harder time focusing with some shots. I can still get good pictures, but sometimes I get blur.

while my 13 mini was great taking photos there is a noticeable improvement with iPhone 14 pro as photos are much clearer and far better in low light. The telephoto lens is great. Only wish the 14 pro was same size as the mini and battery lasted longer. But that’s main reasons I went for 14 pro
also initially for first 6 months or so I had difficulty using self scan while shopping in mostly Sainsburys as 14 pro sometimes didnt read the bar codes oddly mostly on fruit but that’s now much improved now ? Silent software update ? Enjoying 14 pro a lot

Dunno about mega pixels but the 13PM used to take better pics and especially videos than my 14PM.

You can look for Moment cases & lenses to get telephoto capabilities on your 13 mini.
I've not personally tried it but they've been around for some time and have really good options.

I cannot recall where I saw a case for their drop-in lens for 13 mini but I'm almost positive I've seen it just not currently on their site.

Must be that pixel binning of the 48MP sensor ? Who knows ... learned pixel binning of another thread here.
