As someone who's been using the 10.5" iPad Pro until now, this seems like a compelling update. I had considered buying the 2018 11" one, but decided to hold off. Now, if I do upgrade, it will be fairly considerable with Face ID, much more RAM, and an all new form-factor.

Im torn..

I have an 11 inch 2018 iPad Pro that I use a few times a week for reading and music stuff. Looking seriously at the 12.9" model as that size would be more useful for some of the stuff I do but it isn't a requirement.

Any place but here or there....
I think for internals it is a solid update. Glad the RAM, Storage, GPU and WiFi have been bumped up.

I am holding off to see if the RAM and GPU mitigate the touch irresponsiveness. I wish Apple would fix this already. The Pro is solid and would very useful in working remotely.

I think the new keyboard is useful too (Could I finally use a trackpad without arthritis issues? I hope so.)

I'm glad I bought my 2018 pro when I did. This update is not that much different and I got the highest storage anyway so it works plenty well for my usage

I mean, the 6GB RAM alone is probably worth it. Then there’s the storage which was doubled, a better camera and faster Wi-Fi.

In terms of performance, it’s already been said that the A12x was so far ahead of the competition. I just don’t think it was reasonable to expect any breakthrough innovations here.

I want one for sure, I just don’t want to see another update 7 months down the line.

There’s always a new product around the corner though...

I’ve had the 10.5 (256gb) Pro for just shy of 3 yrs now. I’ve got the decorative “white spot” just above the home button😉. I was holding out for this update to upgrade. While I would have liked to have seen a new display (mini LED or OLED) and more of an upgrade on the processor, I think I can live with the current display and A12z for 2-3 yrs.

What makes this a nice upgrade for me are:
- 6GB Ram
- 128gb Storage is the sweet spot for my use (don’t need to go 256gb again)
- 11 inch 128gb version at $750 (Costco) is compelling price...just $70 more than 2018 256gb refurb price at Apple
- New form factor and operates the same as my iPhone 11...plus, new Magic keyboard looks sweet!!
- Cameras are a bonus (I’ve got the iPhone 11 though...which is “always” with me).

I bet if I held out till next March, we’d see new display technology on all Pro models...but given the above, this is a compelling update for me...strongly considering it.
