I noticed this for the first time tonight but several of my windows looked washed out in strange areas. Any thoughts?

Just restarted and i tried recreating what I was doing before it started but so far so good. If it happens again I think I am going to reinstall the OS but I may do so anyways this weekend. The last picture is pretty wild isn't it?
 
^If it were his screen:
2) A screenshot wouldn't capture it
3) Rebooting the OS wouldn't temporarily fix it, since a screen isn't software
4) We wouldn't be able to see it (see reason #2)

I left out step one just because starting lists with the number 1 is played out.

That doesn't mean I know what it is, but it's definitely something graphics/software related... a restore should fix it if some files got corrupted or altered.....
 
last picture looks like yur brightness is WAY to high... the other pics look like OS X somehow is using the old OS X folder icons...
