I keep seeing that there is an update today for the watch but when I check for updates, it just goes into "Checking for Update" and loops indefinitely.
Has anyone seen this mysterious update?

Not yet and I'm on iOS 12 but it's ready. I have to delete my Profile. Also I don't do a Watch update until I go to bed anyway since it takes so long.

Did you have to do any voodoo or incantations to get it? I’m not on any iOS betas and it just spins at checking for update.
LOL no, I just gave up on it and when I came back to it a while later, it showed an update was available.
Good Luck.

I went to update my watch this morning and when I clicked to check for the update it showed it was about 75% downloaded. Weird it was installing on its own.

4.3.2 update accepting download tonight yippee after I yet again tried update via iPhone 8.
I honestly couldn't be bothered de install+re install 0s12 pb's this time.
Nice to see I'll get 4.3.2
Excellent thread very informative.

I’m finding 4.3.2 has made things quite a bit more responsive and smooth on my Series 2.

Which things specifically? Mine had issues with downloading the update incompletely. Had to reset the watch to pair with this phone. The apps wouldn't sync until uninstalled and individually reinstalled.

Animations everywhere are smoother, e.g. bringing up the app switcher, scrolling through the app switcher, swiping up control center and swiping down Notification Center, force touching watch face, and so on.

Also the Workout app is now a bit faster to resume (it still pauses for a couple of seconds, but it’s definitely faster than it used to be).

If they can keep this smoothness with watchOS 5 I’ll be really happy, but usually performance is bad in the first version and a few point releases. It’s be nice if that’s different this year given the focus on performance in iOS 12, but the watchOS beta bugginess isn’t filling me with confidence.

No need to uninstall the iOS 12 beta profile - toggle off WiFi, let the update appear and will pause, reconnect to WiFi it will then install to the watch.
