Watch 6 is damaged and Verizon is replacing it with Watch 8 !!!!!

I had to make a claim with Verizon's Total Protection for my old Apple Watch Series 6 because it was damaged. To my surprise, the rep told me they were fresh out my model and therefore I was getting a brand spanking new Series 8 still in the Apple packaging!!! I have an Ultra and the Series 6 was just my backup. Now I will have an Ultra and a Series 8. It's about time I have some great things happening to me!

Do you know if this happens with an iPad replacement? My iPad was damaged during this same occurrence. Verizon didn't ship the replacement as fast as the watch. When I called, I was told my model was out of stock and they didn't know when it is available. Suddenly, on the same day, I received a tracking number for it. I'm hoping they decided to ship me the latest model as they did with the watch! It will arrive Monday.
