if some one steals your bag, car etc...hide 1 airtag into your valuable belongs

The way I understand these things is that they beep if they are too far away. Also, what are you going to do, chase down your stolen bags yourself? Is Apple going to sell a gun? I guess the cops could use it to chase the car? This doesn’t seem thought out to me.

Sounds like the best use is someone who keeps forgetting where they put their keys. Although, a simple ornamental holder would fix that.

I need to find out the limitation for these before I buy them. I don't want to be dissapointed.

With all the security "features" to keep people from using it maliciously, it really limits the usefulness for cases that aren't.

Is it easy for a thief to find your bag with airtag and reset it for his/her personal use? So you loose both bag and airTag...oops
No, it is tied to original owner's AppleID, like an IOS device, and cannot be reset without the AppleID password nor can it be tracked by someone else other than its owner.

However, the thief can throw away the Airtag and walk away with the stolen goods no longer being tracked.

I'm sure that the 2 TRILLION dollar fruit company hasn't thought of that.
The 2 Trillion $ 🍎 forgot to make it flat , one example ...or they want you to buy the fat one, than for their next billion airTag 2 will be flat...

OK I came up with something. If you have a SO or kid that refuses to use a common location to store something like a TV remote or video game console that keeps getting moved around the house. Instead of actually communicating with humans you can use this thing. Assuming you can stick one of these on there which actually I doubt you can. I’m trying to justify this purchase, help me out people.

Why do you doubt being able to stick one on a game console? One guy used duct tape to stick it on a wall to test it and it worked fine. Be creative.

They sound interesting but what am I supposed to track? My keys and wallet are always near my phone. My car parking location is remembered by my phone. My phone’s location can be seen by other devices. Really scratching my head here, folks.

What I need is the opposite: Find My X. Find the sun-dried tomato basil pesto at the grocery store. That kind of thing, or just that, last night.
is find my x a stalking app?

I want my iPhone to tell me I dropped my wallet and it is now several feet from me. If I'm not at home it should do that. Instead I have to notice it at some point in the future then try to get back to it. It'll likely be empty and my cash and credit cards missing. Surely my iPhone know it is with me as I walk through the park, then suddenly it is separated from me.

The only advantage that I still see Tile as having is that if you have a Tile on your keys, and you can't find your phone (assuming it's in Bluetooth range, but that's usually the situation), you can push the button on the Tile and kick off the Tile alert and sound on your phone.

Sure, this isn't an issue if you have an Apple Watch, since you'd ping the phone from your watch, but what if you don't have an Apple Watch, or don't have access to it?

Not going to watch all the videos, did anyone of these reviewers actually have someone take a airbag into the city and they found them?

I really wanted to have AirTags, but now I can finally buy them I feel like I have nothing to lose as I never get out of the house..
Well, I’ve lost my AirPod pros in my house recently. It would be great if apple built/baked one of these into the airpod cases in the future.

Very excited to get my hands on an AirTag even though I've never lost my keys or anything like that.

I was going to get the AirTags engraved but after seeing how scratched up some of them were in the reviews I may just skip it.

May be AirTags will give you the opportunity to get out of the house. Just so you can lose something and then find it again via the magic of AirTags
