I wonder what the battery life will be when it is that thin.
Industry leading I suppose, like always :apple:

Kind of crazy to think about the amount of heat the dual core A5 processor is going to give off in such a thin device. They can get away with it on an iPad because its so large that it acts like a giant heat sink, but I am afraid that the iPhone 5's battery is going to get really hot and in turn degrade quickly :(

I'm really not digging the aluminum backing. Hopefully,if this is what they're going for, Apple gives it a nice and shiny sheen like the one in TechVulture's mockup so it doesn't look so dull and matte. Other than that it's absolutely perfect. ;)

Wow, smaller body and yet bigger 4 inch screen. I want this. But as someone pointed out, the leaked cases actually indicate a longer and slightly wider body than this, so perhaps we could even have a 4.2 or 4.3 inch screen without a hugh body? That would be dream come through. I hesitated on going beyond 4 inch but judging from this video, perhaps 4.2 or 4.3 inch is going to be even better. I really don't mind the phone body to be just a tad bigger than iPhone 4.

It hasnt got tappered edges, hereby debunked...youre welcome.

Something tells me you don't get the concept of a teardrop. It's not the edges that taper, it's from top to bottom. So since we can't see the top, your claim is incorrect.

I mend rounded edges, couldnt come up with the term. My English is not that well. I do know what tappered means and round edges. In this picture is clearly to see No rounded edges.....debunked again:p

I don't recall rounded edges being one of the requirements of the design. I guess you could assume that it would be rounded based on the "teardrop" term, but did the leaked cases have rounded edges?

Thank God it's just a prototype 'cause it surely looks ugly. Hate that oversize Apple logo. Just awful.

So what do y'all think about the difference (if any) between this mockup and the purportedly leaked image from Ben Buffone/TechVulture?

I kinda like the shiny edge.

Really reminds me of...

I would love for that to be the next iPhone... I'm ready to buy, let's do this.

On a side note, I really wasn't expecting him to open his mouth and German to spill out. Not meaning to offend anyone, I took German in HS and college but was so excited by the thought of the new phone and the fact that he just doesn't look German that I didn't even realize he was speaking German for about 15 seconds haha

Judge a book by it's cover fail

Hm, I guess I'm the only one that isn't crazy about the tapered design. I'll reserve judgment until I actually hold it in my hands. As of now, it honestly doesn't look very comfortable, though I'm sure Apple designers know what they're doing.

Summary of the claims in the video:

- Teardrop aluminum design
- Capacitive home button
- 8MP camera
- A5 CPU, 1GB RAM
- Voice features

Again: the video isn't new information but presents an attractive mockup based on the information we all already had.

^ Very nice design, but im sure apple will polish it up just a little more, that back is a little "off" it seems :\
