That sux. That looks a lot like contact dermatitis. Do you wear a watch regularly?

yeah i used to wear casio about the same size before. i think its from the sweat and lack of fresh air on my skin. not related ... probably .. but i also get a rash from band aids

I fully expected to want a different band, but was initially and have so far been impressed by the sport band. Surprisingly comfortable. We'll see how its appearance holds up over time, but it has not left me wanting for more.

Just make sure you're not wearing it too tight. I keep mine pretty loose during most of the day, and then I tighten it by one hole on the sport band for workouts where I care about the heart rate sensor's accuracy.

Honestly the sport band is the most comfortable watch band I have ever used...and I've used nato straps, leather, link bands and normal rubber straps. I usually constantly fidget with my watch bands, but the sport band is the first one comfortable enough not to.

Same here. I find the Sports bands very comfortable. They are more comfortable than the rest of my watches. Actually, none of my watches are uncomfortable, it just so happens that the Apple Watch is the most comfortable in the bunch.

After a week of wearing my SG 42 MM sport daily, I'm fairly certain that the discomfort I'm experiencing is not related to the sport band or the watch being too tight/ loose, but rather the raised sensor some on the bottom of the watch. I'm hoping that my wrist will adjust to this, as I really enjoy the watch's functions. It's not an allergic reaction as there are no marks of any kind on my wrist after removing the watch...

I haven't worn a watch in many years. That said, I have absolutely fallen in love with my SG Sport and the sport band. When I put the watch on in the morning it feels very comfortable, however as the day goes on I find myself constantly adjusting it as it starts to irritate the top of my wrist where the face sits. Is this typical of getting used to wearing a watch in which case it will eventually subside, or is this specific to the Apple Watch? The band is snug but certainly not tight as I can fit my pinky finger in between the band and my wrist.

Appreciate any feedback...

My blue sport band makes my wrist perspire and it gets a little itchy. No rash, really, but I have an urge to remove the watch. I tries loosening it a notch, but that did not help. I'm still inside my 14 days, so it's probably going back.

This problem aside, it's generally tough to justify $480 for this. It really doesn't do anything. Sure, there are a few nice things here and there, but not enough to justify the cost. $480+ to get notifications on your wrist? Nah.

Precisely what I was getting, absolutely nothing to do with the band. It is the dome/sensor under the watch. I haven't worn a watch for about 5 years, before then I wore them all the time, had nothing like this. I also do not where the watch tight either.

Such a same, I am in the process of returning the watch.

Note - I have the SS WSB

I wonder if the symptoms are anything like caused FitBit to recall one of their devices...

Assuming that is your left arm, and the reddened area is where you normally have your watch, the problem may be that because you are wearing it very close to your hand, to the right of your wrist knuckle. It's in a very active place and a lot of friction will occur.

Wearing it higher up may solve it for you?

Hoping the next version won't have the bulge for the heart rate monitor.

I know it looks bad and possibly feels bad if you're new to wearing a watch, but all the 2 and a half decades that I wore watches daily, that kind of indentation would appear on my arm no matter how dainty of a lady's watch I wore for the day. There was the occasional very flat backed watch that would distribute the pressure a tad more evenly. But I still always had a mark of some kind on my wrist. As long as no rashes or allergic reactions occur, it is something most people seem to get used to.
